Hairah Kibuuka – Managing Director
Hairah Kibuuka is a seasoned marketing and advertising professional. She redirected her career from customer service to advertising shortly after completing her Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing Communications at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom. As a marketing professional she has a strong passion for brand strategy development and project execution.
On a personal level, she is motivated by the desire to positively touch other people’s lives and dedicates her energies and personal resources to building young people’s futures.
Inspired by her personal experience of studying and living in the U.K and France and subsequently returning to a very successful career in marketing and advertising in Uganda, she decided to dedicate her experience and insights towards helping young people achieve a quality education at institutions that best balance their academic backgrounds and future aspirations. She has used her broad and varied network of European and American Universities alumni to identify good colleges and universities and set up partnerships between these Universities and Sharz Consults to offer bespoke study advisory services to a varied array of students across East Africa.
Abdul Kibuuka – Director
Abdul Kibuuka is the current CEO and Founding Director of True North Consult Ltd, a boutique Management Consulting firm based in Uganda with offices in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda. Prior to setting up True North Consult, Abdul had a stellar career in the Oil and Gas industry where he worked in varied senior management positons with the Royal Dutch Shell Plc in their downstream operations in Africa before subsequently moving to Tullow Oil Plc as their Pioneer Head of Human Resources in Uganda.
He has travelled widely across Africa and Europe on duty, including a two-year expatriate assignment in the UK as Tullow Group’s Head of Talent and Competence Development. Abdul believes that his stellar career was inspired by his studies in Europe and has devoted part of his time to guiding young African professionals make the right study and career choices and linking Africans in the diaspora to jobs in Africa. He is an alumni of the London School of Economics in the UK and Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Jamilah Tanya Kasiita – Senior Careers Advisor
Jamilah is a highly effective Human Resource professional with over 13 years hands-on experience specializing in establishing productive business relationships and resolving critical human capital business issues, while managing a full spectrum of human resources program, services and function for different multinational companies.
Due to her accumulated experiences, Jamilah is part of the team as a talented Senior Careers Advisor whose main duty is to develop academic career strategies and plans for undergraduate and graduate students across, as well as help them find gainful employment.
As a Senior career adviser, she provides information, advice and guidance to help students make realistic choices about their education, training and work. She deals with a range of people, from school children over the age of 13 up to adults who may want a career change or need help with further training, application process and helping them identify relevant courses.
Jamilah has served in reputable organizations like Vision Group, Mantrac (U) Ltd, NCR/Service & Computer Industries Ltd, White Nile Consults Ltd and Mac East Africa Ltd (Isuzu)
Donah Amanyabyona – Academic & Careers Advisor
Donah Amanyabyona has 10 years of experience of teaching English Language and Literature in English to international students in two countries. She has served as the Head of Career Guidance at Kabojja International School (Kampala, Uganda) and has over her career guided students define their career paths.
She is multi-talented and competent in public speaking and writing. She also possess organizational, administrative and guidance and counseling skills.
Nelson Elisha Kibanda – Senior Student Counsellor
Nelson has a strong academic grounding, having obtained a degree in Business Management from the Athabasca University in Canada, a business Management Certificate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, as well as a Business Studies Diploma from Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Canada.
He is highly experienced at offering Student advisory and career guidance services. At Sharz, he is charged with helping, guiding and advising students on all matters relating to their study pathways.
Sharua Kibanda – Student Counsellor
Sharua plays vital role in the success of Sharz and its stakeholders.
She is a highly dynamic, organized and skilled Customer Service Executive with diverse knowledge of operating our customer database. She posses excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
Sharua has a diploma in Sociology from the National University of Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Albert Mucunguzi – Business Development Consultant
Albert is an enthusiastic technology entrepreneur, with professional experience in information technology, marketing and communication as well as journalism. Over the last eight years, he has managed and executed projected projects in the information technology, Digital Communication and Public Relations sector for a variety of local and international entities.
Having founded PC Tech Magazine – a leading technology publication – and supported various ventures in the fields of IT and Communication, Albert is currently engaged with Sharz Consults as a Consultant in charge of Business Development, tasked to develop and oversee the execution of the business growth strategy, as well as streamlining the IT support functions.
Albert has a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Economics, and extensive experience in Information Technology, having spent the earlier part of his career as a web/systems developer.
He is also the Chairman of the ICT Association of Uganda.
