COVID-19 Update from Sharz – Borderless Study Consults

JULY 2021 Update: Due to the ongoing COVID-related lockdown in Uganda, our office is currently closed until at last July 30th 2021. We shall make a follow up announcement as soon as we have further guidance from the government. In the meantime, please keep an eye on our social media channels for regular updates.

Due to the Like many of you out there, we’re all taking a period away from our usual routines as we join the rest of the world to tackle the pandemic of Coronavirus.

This year has already been more disruptive than we could have imagined, and with the effects of the pandemic still at the forefront of our minds, it’s so easy to dwell on the news headlines and to focus on the pronounced impact that it’s having on all of our lives.

But at Sharz, we’re still optimistic about what we may still achieve in 2020. Before the disruption, we had experienced an exciting start to the year, with various student applications that had been intended for the May intake. While this is no longer possible, a number of our partner universities and colleges have made arrangements to defer such admissions to the September intake, and we have advised the respective students and parents accordingly.

If you’re a student and have already got an offer, please go ahead and confirm your places of offer, well assured that there will be a full refund should the current circumstances change.

Looking forward, we’re still accepting and helping students submit applications for the September 2020 intake, hoping that the situation will have returned to normal by then.

For students finishing high school, Cambridge International released an update earlier this month about their improvised process for awarding grades to candidates entered for Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level, Cambridge International AS & A Level, Cambridge IPQ or Cambridge Pre-U syllabuses in the June 2020 series. You can read this update here.

Don’t forget to follow our social media pages, we are actively sharing regular updates from schools, colleges and universities about any changes in admission schedules as well as any tips you can consider to help you make it through this challenging time.

We’re still processing immediate requests and applications through our digital channels on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and website so do not hesitate to reach out to us should you have any enquiries.

Stay home, stay safe and rest assured, we’ll see you again soon.
